Dr. Murach graduated from Bastyr University in 2003 earning his clinical Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine (ND) and Masters of Science in Acupuncture (MSA). During his course of studies, Dr. Murach received additional training in Detoxification, Environmental Medicine, Homeopathy, and Physical Medicine.
After earning his clinical Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine (ND) and Masters of Science in Acupuncture (MSA), Dr. Murach continued his studies in Chinese Herbal Medicine, along with advanced courses in Homeopathy.
During his Residency at the Bastyr Center for Natural Health., Dr. Murach continued to focus on Physical Medicine, as well as, participate in a team-based approach to working with HIV+ patients on specialized Immune Wellness Clinic shifts. He has also worked on specialty shifts treating Homeless Youth focusing on counseling, drug abuse, and basic nutrition, Family Medicine at various King County Community Clinics, and Elder Care at retirement homes, where the focus was on optimizing their well-being and vitality.
After completing his Residency, Dr. Murach moved to New England to continue his studies in Chinese Herbal Medicine and Japanese-styles of Acupuncture at the New England School of Acupuncture. There he taught classes on the fundamentals of acupuncture. Additionally, he taught classes on Integrative Nutrition at the Charles River School of Shiatsu.
Prior to medical school, Dr. Murach earned his Bachelors of Science in Biology (BS), along with a double major in U.S. History from the State University of New York at Albany. He trained and received national certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) prior to moving to out west to Boulder, Colorado. There he began his health care career working as a Patient Care Associate and Nursing Unit Coordinator on a Medical-Surgical Nursing Unit at Boulder Community Hospital. It was there in Boulder Community Hospital, working on a busy surgical unit, that he learned about other systems of health and medicine including Naturopathic Medicine.
