Dr. Murach graduated from Bastyr University in 2003. Located in the Seattle-metro area of Washington State, Bastyr University is recognized as the leading acredited university for science-based natural medicine in the United States. During his course of studies, Dr. Murach received additional training in Detoxification, Environmental Medicine, Homeopathy, and Physical Medicine.

After earning his clinical Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and Masters degree in Acupuncture, Dr. Murach continued to study Chinese Herbal Medicine and Homeopathy while receiving his Residency Training at the Bastyr Center for Natural Health. During his Residency Program, Dr. Murach continued to focus on Physical Medicine, as well as, participate in a team-based approach to working with HIV+ patients on specialized Immune Wellness Clinic shifts. He has also worked on specialty shifts treating Homeless Youth focusing on counseling, drug abuse, and basic nutrition, Family Medicine at various King County Community Clinics, and Elder Care at retirement homes, where the focus was on optimizing their well-being and vitality.

After completing his Residency, Dr. Murach moved to New England to continue his studies in Chinese Herbal Medicine and Japanese-styles of Acupuncture at the New England School of Acupuncture. There he taught classes on the fundamentals of acupuncture. Additionally, he taught classes on Integrative Nutrition at the Charles River School of Shiatsu.

Prior to medical school, Dr. Murach earned his Bachelors degree in Biology and U.S. History from the State University of New York at Albany. He trained as an Emergency Medical Technician prior to moving to out west to Boulder, Colorado where he began his health care career working on a Medical-Surgical Nursing Unit at Boulder Community Hospital. It was there in Boulder Community Hospital where he learned about other systems of medicine including Naturopathic Medicine.

His travels throughout Colorado, Arizona, California, and Washington have taken him full circle as Dr. Murach is a Brooklyn native who grew up in Park Slope. His dream is to help bring Naturopathic Medicine to the New York community. His hope is that the basic access to healthy, organic food and CAM health care, which is so prevalent and accessable out west, will one day become a reality here in New York.
